This article will feature mainly models presented in the last part of the year, or previewed at the Milan Motorcycle Show, before being launched on the market in 2025. Let’s delve right into the first part of this long list, with so many new items, we have come up with.
APRILIA
TUAREG 660 RALLY
This new version was inspired by the success achieved with the TUAREG at the AFRICA ECO RACE. We are talking about a travel-version adventure bike, perfect for challenging off-roads, which is the direct descendant of the rally competition version.
Compared to the TUAREG already on the market, this version has a new style and technical content. Engine updates (flywheel and new map) made it more performing in the lower area. The 20 mm higher saddle improves the riding position. The front is sleeker, with a high mudguard. The sump guards and hand protectors have been reinforced, while the suspensions are less progressive, to improve the feeling in off-road settings. Other differences compared to the Tuareg 660 are the titanium exhaust and the wheels with spokes at the channel centre.
BMW
F450 GS (concept)
Bridges the gap between the G310 and the F800/900 GS. According to the manufacturer, this concept will reach the market with the final version before 2025. This motorcycle is heavily inspired by the 1300GS and is accessible to A2 licences (48 HP), also due to its weight - 175 kg, which makes it really light.
The new-generation twin engine stands out for a unique ignition offset, which reaches high speeds. Designed for road use, with a strong propensity for off-road travel, the F450 GS is equipped with suitable suspensions: completely adjustable inverted fork and load-based damper.
Riding safety equipment includes BMW Motorrad ABS Pro (sensitive to the lean angle), a high-performing braking system, configurable riding modes, and 6.5” TFT display. The plan is to adjust the saddle height to make it more accessible, and to replace the spoke wheels (19” and 17”) with cast aluminium wheels.
R1300 GS Adventure
The GS admiral! The ultimate expression of BMW Motorrad technology! In the Adventure version, it has a signature massive look, to better tackle even the most challenging routes, and top “travel” equipment.
The 1,300 cc boxer is the same as in the standard version, with the option of the automatic gearbox (ASA) available as optional (for the first time on a model by the German manufacturer). The riding modes become four, the frame offers an enhanced stiffness, and the 30-litre aluminium tank can also be used as case support. The Adventure features EVO suspensions and the DSA (Dynamic Suspension Adjustment), which combines several automatic (or customized) adjustments, based on the riding mode selected. It is also possible to adjust the motorcycle height (optional), which can be lowered up to 3 cm when stopping or at low speed.
The Adventure 2025 standard equipment includes new full led headlights and dynamic Cruise Control (which activates the brakes). And the electronics include MSR, DBC and HSC, and may be further enhanced by optional rider assistance modes.
It features 19” spoke wheels on the front and 17” on the back. Since the technical description could go on forever, if you want to know more we encourage you to read trade press report.
BENELLI
TRK 902 XPLORER (concept)
At the trade show, the manufacturer unveiled also the motorcycle that will (probably by the end of 2025) represent Benelli - or rather TRK - utmost expression of two-wheel adventure for any kind of terrain.
Just like any other concept, the 902 too holds a certain freedom of aesthetic expression, starting with a balanced profile with a compact front, 702 style led headlights with two perfectly integrated fog spotlights, and a high-tech fairings adjustment system. Instead of the passenger saddle, there is a container for tools and accessories.
Radiator covers are also matching, with the fuel tank and the lower engine protection. A few other technical data: 904 cc two-cylinder ending with 100 HP and 90 Nm torque; 200 mm front and post suspension travel; Pirelli Scorpion Rally spoke wheels, with a17” front and 19” back. The tank holds 22 litres. The “Jungle Fog Green” forest enhances the motorcycle explorer's spirit.
BIMOTA
TERA
The is absolutely the first on-off crossover for the brand, and it aims for the sky, starting with its top speed: 270 km/h! (Anlas has made specific 17” tyres).
Its engine descents from the 200 HP Kawasaki Ninja H2’s, and can be set on 5 racing modes. What makes it unique is its full-aluminium and carbon fibre chassis, inherited from the Tesi.
Some other features include: adjustable fairing and handlebar; aerodynamic flaps that make it very stable when riding at high speed, even with the three aluminium cases (GIVI’s Outback EVO) fitted. Dry weight: 215 kg. The price - around 40 thousand euro - sets it outside most people’s range. Fun fact: it is the only Bimota with a centre stand.
DUCATI
MULTISTRADA V4 and V4 S
This “Family” was presented in Milan in the 2025 version. The new V4 is more performing when it comes to riding - even at full load - customization and safety, thanks to the sophisticated innovation DUCATI introduced.
The chassis and the engine (1,158 cc and 170 HP V4 Granturismo) are optimized for fast tourism, making it more enjoyable. The 2025 version features 5 Riding Modes (with enhanced controls on the Enduro model, plus the WET mode).
And it also uses less fuel (up to 6%), thanks to the “extended deactivation” (the engine runs at 2 cylinders when the workload is lower than a set speed).
The new DVO function activates estimates on the forces that affect the motorcycle and the loads that can be endured in different driving conditions. The system also dialogues with the ABS Cornering, and the wheelie (DWC) and traction (DTC) control.
Worthy of notice is also the Cornering Lights function, which lights up the road, reducing the shadowed area, the option of customizing the engine brake action and using electronic combined braking.
On the aesthetic front, the news concerns the superstructures in the front area. In particular, the double headlights become more relevant in the general line.
The V4 S version further increases the standard equipment to make the motorbike easier to use. This model features semi-active suspensions with Skyhook DSS EVO control. The fork features a sensor (bump detection) that dialogues with the back suspension, adapting the reaction based on the type of terrain and road obstacles. These conditions are also analysed by the Automatic Lowering Device, an algorithm that recognizes the weight on the vehicle (alone, two people, with luggage, etc.), and optimizes all driving aids and the braking distribution. In particular, the motorcycle can lower by 30 mm during low-speed manoeuvres.
This Multistrada version’s technological features are truly complete. The above functions are complemented by: front and rear radar that dialogues with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), BSD (that signals the presence of vehicles in blind spots), FCW (warns the rider of a danger of collision with the preceding vehicle), and emergency Brake Light. To enhance the passenger’s comfort, Ducati has moved side cases and top cases back. Another prominent presence at the stand was the V4 Pikes Peak, with a sportier set-up, due to Online SmartEC suspensions and 17” wheels.
DESERTX DISCOVERY and RALLY
For Ducati’s all round on-off Adventure range, the Discovery 2025 version has already been launched in June. Perfect for mountain trails and desert roads, the Discovery has a very convincing look. Standard equipment includes a set of reinforced motorcycle and rider (hand guards) protections, engine guard, and water pump, radiator and oil sump guards.
The larger windscreen and heated knobs improve the driving comfort.
The Discovery features a central stand, which comes in hand to perform maintenance while travelling, and the set of aluminium side cases as standard. The Turn by Turn navigation system is integrated with Ducati Link App.
On a general note, the DesertX is driven by a Testastretta 937 cc + 110 HP + 92 Nm desmodromic engine, managed by 5 Riding Modes (including two for off-road use). The chassis includes a steel trellis frame, long-stroke suspensions, and triple tyre approval, for a special set-up. The tank holds 21 litres of fuel.
The DesertX 2025 range includes also a Rally version, which is a racing motorcycle designed for advanced users on challenging routes…
CF MOTO
800 MT-X
The new Adventure from the Chinese brand is the MT evolution in an off-road accent.
This direction is highlighted by the components, with a downward 22-litre dual-tank (range of almost 400 km). And also by high mudguard, engine and oil sump guards, 7” colour touch screen fitted vertically like in rally motorcycles, front 21” and rear 18” spoke wheels... And if this is not enough, you’ll be excited to know that CF MOTO will launch the MT-X in two versions: with saddle 830 mm from the ground and standard travel suspensions for road travel; or saddle 870 mm from the ground and 230 travel suspension for off-road adventures.
The standard supply also includes: adjustable windscreen, cruise control, IMU 6-axis electronics, ABS cornering + traction control, which can both be disabled, Ride by wire and riding mode (3), electronic gearbox and anti-hopping clutch.
